The following answer only applies to clients of our German, French, Spanish, and Dutch offerings.

Directly transferring stocks, ETFs, or other securities from a legal guardian's portfolio to a Scalable Kid's account is currently not supported. As the child legally owns the Kid's account, transferring assets from your personal account is considered a change of ownership (gift) and has specific tax implications. Our platform does not currently process these types of transfer.

To move wealth to your child's account, you can sell the securities within your own account. Once settled, transfer the cash proceeds to the Kid's account and repurchase the desired securities there. Please note that the standard withholding tax applies to the sale, unless this is covered by your personal tax exemption.
