With over 20 years of experience and more than 350 successful Private Equity investments, BlackRock is a leading company in the Private Equity sector. Every year, the team analyzes between 800 and 1,000 investment opportunities and selects the most promising companies. The investments are allocated to several suitable investment vehicles within BlackRock.
The ELTIF structure, as one of the investment vehicles, enables investors to invest side by side in the same Private Equity companies as other professional clients of BlackRock (e.g. insurance companies, pension funds or family offices). This structure is designed to ensure the first-class quality of the deals and enables private individuals to invest in Private Equity with institutional quality. The fund as an investment vehicle was launched in February 2025 and therefore does not yet show a sufficiently long historical performance. There is no comparable predecessor fund due to the European Union's comprehensive ELTIF 2.0 reform in 2024 (Regulation (EU) 2023/606).
