What happens in the event of insolvency?

Cash balance: PRIME+ cash is held at Scalable Capital Bank and several partner banks. When distributing cash, we take into account the cash held at the respective bank by Scalable Capital as well as the respective statutory deposit protection of €100,000 per client and bank and any supplementary protection schemes. All other cash is distributed among partner banks and qualified money market funds in addition to Scalable Capital Bank. These rules for the distribution of cash may be changed without notice.

Customer funds held in omnibus trust accounts are protected by the deposit guarantee schemes responsible for the respective trust bank. If Scalable Capital holds customer funds divided among several trust banks, the respective credit balance is protected by the statutory deposit guarantee up to an amount of EUR 100,000 per trust bank. Deposited customer funds can therefore regularly be protected by several deposit guarantee schemes. In the event of the insolvency of Scalable Capital, customers can separate their customer funds held in omnibus trust accounts and have them paid out. These customer funds will then only be paid out at the request of the customer.

We proceed with the necessary care and diligence in the selection, commissioning and regular monitoring of partner banks and qualified money market funds. As part of our duty of care, we continuously review the necessity of allocating funds to different banks and/or qualified money market funds. In doing so, we take into account the available capacities at the banks, the respective conditions of the banks and qualified money market funds, your model, your deposits and withdrawals, your trading activity as well as taxes and fees. This allows you to carry out all transactions regardless of how your cash is distributed. The allocation of cash can vary continuously and is not subject to a fixed ratio. This can also mean that your cash is held at only one trust bank or only one qualified money market fund.
