Please note that the following answer only applies to clients residing in Germany.

With an exemption order, you instruct your bank to exempt capital gains from automatic tax deductions. Without this order, the bank will pay 25% capital gains tax plus 5.5% solidarity surcharge and, where applicable, church tax to the tax office.

The maximum exemption order for 2025 is 1,000 euros for single persons and 2,000 euros for married couples and registered partnerships. The joint exemption order can only be set up on one account and will also be applied to the spouse's account in the Baader Bank system.

Please note: An exemption order applies to all your business relationships with the custodian bank. As you are using Scalable Capital with Baader Bank as your custodian bank, the submitted exemption order will apply to all products for which Baader Bank is also the custodian. The display in your personal client area shows you the total amount of your exemption order registered with the custodian bank.
