Please note that the following answer only applies to clients of our Broker offering.

Two performance views can be displayed in your broker: total return and portfolio value. Positive returns are shown in green, negative returns in red.

The total return shows the sum of market returns and distributions before tax payments for the selected period. Tax refunds and possible order fees are also taken into account.
Market return is the return generated from invested capital for a selected period (e.g. one day, 3 months, since purchase etc.), taking price fluctuations into account. Positive returns are displayed graphically in green, a negative return in red. The total return shows how the portfolio value has changed in absolute terms relative to the amount invested.

The portfolio value represents the total value of your securities including returns, and also takes deposits into account for the broker balance. In contrast to the total return, the portfolio value is shown including tax charges. It shows the current total status of your securities and credit available to you in your broker during the selected period.

On the web, you can find the option under the "Insights" tab in your broker. In the app, you can switch between both options by clicking on the three dots to the right of the time intervals. The chart you opened last will automatically be displayed again the next time you open the app.
