Please note that the following answer only applies to clients residing in Germany.
Your current loss offset pots can be found in your client area under Profile > Taxes. A distinction is made as follows:
- Loss pot (equities): realised losses from equity transactions offset against capital gains from equity transactions.
- Loss pot (general): realised losses from securities transactions (excluding losses from equity transactions), which are offset against capital gains from all securities transactions, as well as dividends and interest payments.
Please note: Your exemption order applies only after your loss offset pots have been taken into account.
You can also find the amount of your loss offset pots in your securities statements. These can be downloaded as a PDF document from the 'Transactions' section of your client area.
